is an online pre- and post diagnostic benchmark testing system

Numerous school sites using SOLAR® are achieving 100%
pass rates in content areas after one year of use. In
other words, EVERY CHILD PASSED the actual Standards of Learning content area tests with
teacher and administrator use of the prescriptive data provided by

The SOLAR® system is the first and only system on the
market that allows the combination of both online and paper-based
benchmarking of students with rapid online pin-pointing of the
achievement gaps by standard of learning content area, and/or
content strand and/or Essential Skill(s) division-wide, by school
building, by classroom/homeroom and by student. This
system allowing school faculty and the district to immediately execute SOLAR®
Individual Intervention Plans (SIIPs) for students by Essential
Skill gap. This powerful online testing tool provides the
benchmark author full control of benchmark test formulation
whether it is delivered online, or paper-based with the SOLAR®
automatically generated and pre-slugged answer scan sheets.
The author of the district/division benchmark assessment is able
to map the benchmark assessment to the nine (9) week school
division Pacing Guides/Lesson Plans (scope and sequence) by core content area (i.e.
English, Mathematics, Social Science/History, Science), by strand
and Essential Skills. Teachers and administrators are able
to pin-point the achievement gaps by standard of learning content
area, Essential Knowledge and Skill with the SOLAR®
system. The SOLAR® Advanced Reporting Module
allows District/Division or Building Administrators and/or
teachers to pin-point achievement gaps by grade, classroom, by
gender and by specific sub-groups (ethnicity, LEP, socio-economic)
and by multiple sub-group combinations. The school or
central office staff software requirements are: Internet
Explorer 5.2 or higher and Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or higher
installed on all workstations that will access the web-based SOLAR
system. Meeting these software requirements provides a
teacher or administrator the ability to generate a plethora of
reports immediately after a division-wide diagnostic benchmark
assessment.
We also
provide online student registration solutions that allow parents
the ability to complete the entire paper registration process
on-line at home, at the local library, from their job, or at the
school site. This solution has a direct positive impact on
the productivity of office staff responsible for student
registration. The RegiStudentTM system is
accessed by a parent from the school district or school website.
Registrars, Guidance office staff, and others only need to check
the student data when the parent arrives at the school site for
formal registration, confirm receipt of original health and
residency record, make minor updates, print the forms for
signature and then process the registration information into the
current student management/information system. The online
registration system ports all the data into your Student
Management/Information System seamlessly.
